Diana Poor

diana has been working as a ceramic artist for about 45 years and in that time covered quite a few different mediums and styles.

she learnt to throw on the wheel and produced domestic ware first, but then went on to work in porcelain, hand building mugs and jugs with a  definite funky style which she sold and exhibited for a number of years.

in the 80’s diana developed a range of styles which adorned dinner sets and sold in her own gallery, workshops and around new zealand.  the most popular being a tapa design or fish and shells in a marine environment of devonport, where she has worked for years.

currently, diana now hand builds sculptural pieces, such as the swimmers that are exhibited here at art industry .

these are all unique works
