Eve Hawkins Green

eve uses acrylics and inks in a water colour style.  she enjoys painting with this medium as it provides a rich depth of colour, using it to create abstract backgrounds and water effects.  her favourite subjects are animals, children and capturing the drama of dance.  rather than just capturing a moment in time she tries to bring life and personality to her paintings.

eve is largely self-taught but has attended numerous art workshops and classes including life drawing classes in new zealand and overseas.

approximately 15 years ago eve came to new zealand from a large town in england.  she is now living in a rural community surrounded by her much-loved animals who provide her with inspiration and laughter.

currently she is working on a pictorial children’s book based on ‘blue’, who could loosely be described as a working dog.
