jane vile’s creative interests are varied and are forever evolving.  she likes to work without set agendas allowing the work to unfold without a lot of preconceptions.  she loves to make things and her inspiration can come from anywhere.

a lot of jane’s work recently has been inspired by her new zealand heritage, maori culture and old new zealand coins.  she likes the idea of appropriating items from the past that she is familiar with and reinterpreting and reintroducing them to the present and beyond.
