Katie Blundell

for katie blundell art is an extension of her ‘self’.  She is a multi media full time artist who lets the idea dictate the form of the work.

in 2003 she graduated with a masters of fine arts from elam school of fine arts, majoring in printmaking.

although currently she mainly paints, the influence of printmaking can always be seen in her work.  she gets great joy from the process of making and remains open to spontaneous and unexpected outcomes.

her art expresses her personal experiences and reactions to life, often touching on universally shared ideas.  she hopes to connect with viewers by triggering their own thoughts, memories, feelings and desires.

over the years she has exhibited regularly in many group and solo shows and has several works in the wallace arts trust collection.
