KRISTIN HATLAND
kristin hatland is an exhibiting artist with a bachelor of applied arts visual. her motivation and vision is informed by her study of logic (cause and effect) while simultaneously applying a normative ethic. the blending of the two philosophical theories provides artistic tension, blurring idealistic expression, driving her fascination with abstract art.
kristin has exhibited at the shutter room in whangarei as part of the group exhibition metapherein, was part of the selection for the exposure award launched by the louvre in paris, and the bastille from her plato’s cave series was amongst the finalists and winners included in a tour of new zealand’s museums and art galleries coordinated by the wallace arts trust.
her artworks are held in collections in new zealand and overseas.
kristin lives in clevedon.
